What A Jerk!

Hopefully no one has ever had to say, "What a Jerk!," about you in a sentence, but now you can give them a good reason to without actually being guilty of anything other than darn tasty cooking. Indie Tea is pleased to announce a new addition to our arTEAsan Spice Rub collection. What A Jerk Spice Rub is a zippy organic blend of assam tea, habanero infused gourmet salt, and fragrant spices like allspice, thyme, clove, garlic, onions and more. 100% natural. Delicious on veggies, pork or chicken. Blended and packaged in the USA by your's truly for your grilling pleasure. So break out the BBQ and spoil your friends.

It's Time To Get Loose!

Perhaps...just perhaps, the sight of a tin filled with loose-leaf tea frightens you or someone you know, and you feel the need to resort to the old stand by; the tea bag. "Don't do it!", I say, "Don't do it!" The tea infuser appears to require some sort of work by the user, but in reality, it's a 10 second or less proposition, and well worth the effort. The rewards are going to be clear with your first taste. Whole leaf tea gives off so much more flavor into your cup and the same leaves can be steeped two or three times. Think of it as a fine wine verses...well...not a fine wine. Loose whole-leaf tea includes large whole leaves of the plant, whereas tea bags are made from tea fannings or "tea dust". Don't eat dust...it's just not tasty. For all online tea orders, we will now include a free tea-ball infuser for free. So be bold, and get loose.

Tea...Just Eat It!
If you haven't done so already, it's time to brush off the grill, light up the fire, and eat some tea! "What? Eat tea?", I say? Why yes...with our new and delicious, arTEAsan Spice Rubs, you can now eat tea. We have developed four organic spice rubs for your grilling and cooking pleasure; Coming up Lemons (White tea, lemon infused sea salt and spices), Hey Mambo (Green tea, rosemary infused sea salt and spices), Magic Mushroom (Yerba Maté, Porcini infused sea salt and spices), and last, but certainly not least, Old Smokey (Smoked and fermented black teas, smoked black sea salt and spices). These are sure to "spice up" your back yard summer BBQs. Don't have a grill? These spices are also wonderful for roasting, pan searing, etc. Go ahead...go a little crazy.

Dark Energy
If you've examined the whole of the cosmos, but found the space between your ears to be seriously lacking, it's time for some Dark Energy. Expand your universe...expand your mind.

Our newest tea, Dark Energy, is now available online at
www.indietea.com This is a earthy blend of Lapsang Souchong (a smoked black tea), Pu-Erh (a dark, fermented tea) and Se Chung Oolong (a semi-fermented tea). All of these are said to be beneficial as a weight loss aid. though I'm sure the treadmill wouldn't hurt in that department, but there it sits in my loft...alone and untouched. Ha!

Sock It To Me!

If you're anything like me, and by that I mean not my personal best at the crack of dawn, you may need a little something extra to get you going in the morning. Oh sure, the beautiful blue sky and the chirping of the birds should be enough to make you hop out of your hoodie footie and greet the day with a joyful, Disneyesque melody, but if it's not, we have the answer for you. Sock It To Me is a delicious blend of fine Chinese black and Indian Assam teas that is sure to wake you from your dreamy slumberland, and grant you just enough spring in your step to make it through yet another grueling morning at the office.

Got Brains?

With the holidays hot on our heels, I sometimes (only once in a while) lose focus, forget where I put the keys, leave VIP's off of my shopping list, etc. Am I the only one? I think not. So to help combat the battle going on in my brain, I've created a new tea called "Smarty Pants". Chocked-full of powerful  "good for the brain" ingredients like Ginkgo Biloba, Hawthorn Berries, Ginger, Gotu Kola, Brahmi, Peppermint, Passionflower, Tulsi Holy Basil, & Lemon Verbena, Smarty Pants won't turn you into an Einstein, but it may help you to remember some things you thought you had forgotten, and perhaps prevent your mind from darting about in 26 different directions at once. So, if you've "Got Brains", and I know that you do, then drink up and get smart.
